What My Clients Say
With over 300 events and 20 years of experience, I have some amazing clients and lovely families who have trusted me with the most important, emotional, special and pivotal days of their lives.
In recent years the vast majority of testimonials have come from my funeral clients.
Below are my a selection and whether your event is happy or sad, you can trust me to ensure everything is handled with care, sensitivity and professionalism.

Christopher made contact with us following the passing of our beloved Mother which was organised by our Funeral Directors, Initially there was a meeting with myself and 2 sisters which we were a little apprehensive about as we wanted to get things right for the service. Following the initial introduction Christopher managed to put our minds at rest from the beginning as he made a real effort to get a sense of who we were and more importantly who our Mum was, explaining his services and proceedings explaining how he was there to support us through what was a difficult time. Fast-forward to the day itself and it could not of gone better in terms of Conducting the service and delivering our mums Eulogy written by ourselves and making sure I had the strength to deliver a short speech also and ready to jump in if it got too much.
There was a clear message from him that his support stretched further than just the ceremony in terms of dealing with Grief and made sure we were aware he was available if needed to support us further in difficult times, Whilst we did not take advantage of this as my sisters and I are lucky to be able to support each other it was a very nice safety net to know someone was there to help if needed from a non-religious view point.
We could not speak highly enough of his professionalism and ability to understand the family’s needs at this sad time and for that we are extremely grateful
Having just lost someone and trying to plan a funeral is a super difficult time for anyone, especially when your thoughts are all over the place and you don’t really know where to start.
We asked the funeral director for some help finding someone who would respect our wish to have a non religious ceremony and be able to help us retell stories at my dad’s funeral. From the moment Chris walked through the door to meet us, we all felt such relief, he put us at ease straightaway and genuinely just seemed a nice guy.
We had complete confidence that he would not only do the ceremony as we asked, even with some of the colourful stories, but also in a really kind and professional way.
Thank you Chris for your support over such a difficult time for us.

I was very impressed and grateful for your kind support and the role you played as Celebrant for my Mum’s funeral service, in January 2024.
You gave me so much support and kindness, guiding me through the formalities and helping me plan a special service for my Mum who was dearly loved.
You adopted a very calm and positive approach to my situation as I was dealing with the arrangements on my own and with your guidance you encouraged me to make my personal choices and supported the eulogy I wrote.
You encouraged me with heartfelt kindness and in addition gave a few words of wisdom to our family to help in our journey after losing Mum.
You found the most beautiful poem and prayer to read for us which really meant a lot to me.
I was very grateful to have had you conduct the service for us, as we didn’t live in the area and I wanted an intimate but full order of service for my Mum.
You made my small family feel at ease and cared for.
Many thanks for your help and compassion in achieving this as it was a celebration of her life in the end and a fitting tribute to her.
My family could not have been more grateful to Chris for the caring and empathetic way in which he conducted my dad's funeral. Chris took the time to get to know me and my mum beforehand and included all of the family in his readings. He helped my son through his eulogy when at times he was struggling to speak. Dad wasn't religious and we wanted somebody who would make the day less downbeat and more upbeat. Chris certainly did that for us and the way in which he conducted the service was absolutely how dad would have wanted it. His readings were heartfelt but not solemn. I have often commented to people that Chris made the occasion a happy day, rather than it being a sombre affair. I cannot recommend and thank Chris enough for what he did for us that sad day and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him obviously for funeral services, and I cannot comment on anything other, but I can imagine that Chris would make any occasion, be it happy or sad, a much better experience for anyone as he did for us. Chris is obviously a kind-hearted man who cares deeply in what he does - I truly felt like we were his only clients

Hi Chris,
We wanted to express our gratitude for all your help both prior, during and since the service. Thank you for guiding us through Nana's last hoorah. For us it was a wonderful closure and you made the process and the day itself easier to handle. The service you created was lovely and captured nan in all her beloved glory.

He was exceptionally sensitive to our needs during this difficult time, skillfully navigating potential family tensions with respect and tact.
Chris allowed us to create a ceremony that truly reflected our family's wishes. We wholeheartedly recommend him.

Christopher Field conducted my Mum's funeral earlier this year and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
From the moment he visited us, he took the time to sit and listen to our family stories, truly understanding who Mum was as a person.
He meticulously moulded the service to reflect Mum's personality, even including special details from the day she was born. Christopher helped us recall and celebrate past events and cherished memories, making the service a heartfelt tribute.
His genuine nature and attention to detail made all the difference, and we are deeply grateful for his compassionate support during this difficult time.
Kindest regards
Pete & Sue
When our husband/father passed away it was such a dreadful shock, the loss of a much loved husband/father is an extremely difficult time.
Chris supported and guided us throughout the entire process and ensured that we created a service that was a mix of religious hymns, along with non-religious readings and tributes. Chris has a lovely calm manner and a caring approach that set the tone of the service perfectly, it was a difficult, but very special day.
Chris was there to reassure us and step in if we needed support, he was very responsive throughout the entire process. We were very happy with the services Chris gave us and would highly recommend him to anyone else going through an extremely difficult time.

Christopher met with my brother and I after my mother’s death to help us design a service which met our non-religious needs. He provided help, advice and suggestions on how the service might run but most importantly, he listened carefully to our wishes, thoughts and concerns to ensure what we decided on was right for our Mum. Whilst I decided to write the eulogy myself, as much a piece of personal therapy as it was a celebration of her life, Christopher delivered it, and beautifully too, with genuine care in his voice and a visible smile when he encountered those sections where humour was the sentiment being conveyed. The service was really well structured and met our requirements perfectly, the right send off for our wonderful Mum.
I thanked Christopher then and I thank him again for all his compassion and help at what was a very difficult time for our family, and his offer of ongoing support afterwards if we needed someone to talk to.
