I just wanted to say a big big thank you for what you did. You made the day so much easier with your lovely words and how you made us all feel comfortable during such a difficult time. Everyone commented on the beautiful service and the way you dealt with everything. I cant believe that my dad's funeral could be so joyous. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
 

My family could not have been more grateful to Chris for the caring and empathetic way in which he conducted my dad's funeral. Chris took the time to get to know me and my mum beforehand and included all of the family in his readings. He helped my son through his eulogy when at times he was struggling to speak. Dad wasn't religious and we wanted somebody who would make the day less downbeat and more upbeat. Chris certainly did that for us and the way in which he conducted the service was absolutely how dad would have wanted it. His readings were heartfelt but not solemn. I have often commented to people that Chris made the occasion a happy day, rather than it being a sombre affair. I cannot recommend and thank Chris enough for what he did for us that sad day and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him obviously for funeral services, and I cannot comment on anything other, but I can imagine that Chris would make any occasion, be it happy or sad, a much better experience for anyone as he did for us. Chris is obviously a kind-hearted man who cares deeply in what he does - I truly felt like we were his only clients."

Having known Chris for 30 years in many different guises, the most recent as a civil celebrant supporting many of the bereaved families to
arrange funeral services. 

I have used Chris's services to support many of the families that as a funeral director I needed someone compassionate, caring, empathetic and sympathetic. Chris has all these qualities and many more.
I am also very aware of the real benefit that Chris has brought to the hospital chaplaincy team as a
civil non religious role, something that was ground breaking for the East Sussex Healthcare Trust, the reports that I have received from colleagues of Chris, is that he is extremely valued by his team members and supports those around him with great understanding and limitless time
to listen intently and with interest.
The qualities that Chris has as a leader, team player, advocate, and role model in professional

I was very impressed and grateful for your kind support and the role you played as Celebrant for my Mum’s funeral service, in January 2024.
You gave me so much support and kindness, guiding me through the formalities and helping me plan a special service for my Mum who was dearly loved.

You adopted a very calm and positive approach to my situation as I was dealing with the arrangements on my own and with your guidance you encouraged me to make my personal choices and supported the eulogy I wrote.
You encouraged me with heartfelt kindness and in addition gave a few words of wisdom to our family to help in our journey after losing Mum.

You found the most beautiful poem/prayer to read for us which really meant a lot to me.
I was very grateful to have had you conduct the service for us, as we didn’t live in the area and I wanted an intimate but full order of service for my Mum.
You made my small family feel at ease and cared for.

Many thanks for your help and compassion in achieving this as it was a celebration of her life in the end and a fitting tribute to her.
